High Country Outfitters now offers Idaho wilderness shiras moose hunting at Sulphur Creek Ranch. We have some big bulls in our area, and we know where they hang out. Depending on where and how you choose to hunt, your Idaho Shiras moose hunting experience could vary from a lodge moose hunt to a complete pack-in hunt up to fifteen miles from the trailhead. Moose hunting is by horseback and on foot. Elevations in Idaho can range anywhere from 3500' to 9500'. Our moose camps consist of wall tents, cook tent, shower and delicious meals. Sometimes we are even able to hunt out of the lodge. Our guides are experienced moose hunters and know the areas well. All moose hunts in Idaho are controlled, so the first step is drawing a tag. We can help you with the application process.

SHIRAS MOOSE HUNT:

This is an eight day hunt that takes place during the moose rut. Tags are once-in-a-lifetime draw. We can help you with the application process.

   PRICE:
   - $6,500.00 per hunter (one on one guiding)

   HUNT DATES:
   - Aug. 30 - Nov. 31 *we will work with you to decide which 8 days work best

Additional Prices:
- Non-resident Hunting License - $141.50
- Application fee for controlled hunt - $19.50 (includes permit fee)

Booking information:
50% non-refundable deposit due for the year hunt takes place. Hunts booked one year in advance and beyond require a deposit of $500 to hold the hunt with the balance of 50% due December 1st of year to be hunted. We are required to charge 6% Idaho sales and use tax for all hunts. Tags and licenses are not included in hunt price.

Additional Information:
If you have killed a shiras moose in Idaho since 1977 you may not apply for a sheep permit.
